Maya Faber is a research scientist engaged in understanding the effects of Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) on marine organisms. Her research interests include the application of alternative types of biological response data, like in vitro high throughput screening data, to predict the effects of CEC exposures on individual organisms and population dynamics in Puget Sound. She holds a B.A. in Biology from Kalamazoo College, a Data Science Certificate from Western Washington University (WWU), and an M.S. in Environmental Science from WWU. Maya has 7 years of regulatory experience in both air and water quality, previously working as a consultant and regulator in state and local government.
