The Salish Sea Science Roundtable online speaker series continues on Friday, November 13 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
Past emissions from major polluters will continue to influence global and local temperatures for decades, with implications for climate impacts and planning. Dargan Frierson will share research on the long afterlife of past emissions and discuss what it means for climate action. The presentation will examine how warming reflects choices made years ago, while considering the latest modeling and climate pathways under CMIP7 that could shape the decades ahead.
Roundtables occur virtually each month as a way to share emerging science that is shaping Salish Sea ecosystem recovery.
This event is free, but registration is required.
