UW Puget Sound Institute and the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife are leading a spatially explicit risk assessment of the current and future threats to eelgrass and floating kelp habitats in Puget Sound that can be used to evaluate the distribution of burdens associated with habitat risk and inform management actions. This workshop will offer a deeper dive into the cumulative risk results, with time for discussion and feedback to help shape the final products.
In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the completed kelp threat rating, which was an early product of this work.
