Salish Sea Currents magazine is one of the many sections of the newly designed Encyclopedia of Puget Sound.

EoPS has a new look!

You might have noticed that the Encyclopedia of Puget Sound looks especially awesome these days. We just released EoPS 2.0 with more vibrant colors, improved navigation and more modern features under the hood. You’ll still find the same great articles, but they will load a little faster and will play well with new browsers and smartphones.

Take the site for a spin and check out two new features this week in our magazine Salish Sea Currents. Christopher Dunagan has an in-depth look at how scientists and regulators are working to define healthy oxygen levels in Puget Sound. By some estimates, those definitions could affect billions of dollars in state and local spending. And elsewhere in the magazine, Eric Wagner reports on how an overabundance of pink salmon may be harming Puget Sound’s endangered orcas.
