National Working Waterfronts Symposium in Tacoma March 25-28

Washington Sea Grant’s National Working Waterfronts and Waterways Symposium is scheduled for March 25-28 in Tacoma. The event, in coordination with Oregon Sea Grant, is the third national symposium on issues faced by working waterfronts throughout the United States.

National Working Waterfronts and Waterways Symposium in TacomaThe conference will include “local, regional, tribal and national decision-makers; members of the commercial fishing, marine, and tourism industries, developers and property owners; business owners, community planners and waterfront advocates — at the third in a series of national discussions on working waterfronts.”

PSI Visiting Scholar and Washington Sea Grant Coastal Management Specialist Nicole Faghin chairs the symposium’s steering committee and has been coordinating the event as part of her residence at the Center for Urban Waters.
