Allison, originally from California, has spent the past seven years living in Washington after traveling extensively following high school. A devoted mother of two daughters and the wife of a commercial fisherman, she is deeply rooted in her community. Allison earned her B.A. from the University of Washington-Bothell, majoring in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior, as well as Environmental Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she contributed to a published research paper on antiracism activism. She went on to obtain her M.M.A. from the University of Washington in Marine and Environmental Affairs, where her thesis explored the management of passenger-only ferries’ impacts on Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKW). Passionate about environmental justice, community engagement, climate resilience, and building reciprocal relationships with nature, Allison is committed to making a positive impact in her field.
