The Salish Sea Science Roundtable speaker series continues on Tuesday, September 3 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
Washington Sea Grant works collaboratively with local communities and agency partners to assess and address coastal hazards. WSG staff Ian Miller and Sydney Fishman will share several examples of WSG’s sea level rise resiliency work. Highlighted projects will include the Puget Sound Parcel-scale Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment, the USGS Coastal Storm Modeling System (CoSMoS) flood and groundwater hazards tools, and the Coastal Hazards Resilience Network. Join us to learn how these resources are being used in Washington and what WSG is doing to equip more communities to use these tools in local planning, habitat restoration, and other management scenarios.
Roundtables occur virtually on the first Tuesday of each month as a way to share emerging science that is shaping Salish Sea ecosystem recovery.
