The Center for Urban Waters hosts the 2013 University of Washington Water Symposium tomorrow, April 30th at the Seattle campus Husky Union Building. Themes this year include Water and Energy, Ocean Acidification and Climate Change and Adaptation.

Scaling the Ocean Health Index to Puget Sound

The Puget Sound Institute and the Puget Sound Partnership co-hosted a panel earlier this month to discuss the Ocean Health Index (OHI) and its relevance to Puget Sound. The April 2nd panel was held at the Center for Urban Waters in Tacoma, and featured OHI project lead Ben Halpern of UC Santa Barbara.

Advancing the role of science in coastal ecosystem recovery, May 14th and 15th
