PSI launches “Our Water Ways” blog

We are pleased to announce that we are launching a new blog from veteran environmental journalist Christopher Dunagan. Chris has been a senior writer at the Puget Sound Institute since 2015 and has written dozens of in-depth stories for our science magazine Salish Sea Currents. That signature reporting will continue, but now Chris will be checking in on a more regular basis.

Environmental news can happen quickly, and the new format will allow Chris to engage with complex issues in a more informal way that will be delivered to your email inbox as soon as stories break.

Chris is calling his new blog “Our Water Ways,” which is an echo of his popular blog of more than a dozen years at the Kitsap Sun. That blog also featured extensive coverage of Puget Sound environmental issues, and Chris sees its move to PSI as a natural fit as his reporting on the region continues. “The new blog will allow more frequent coverage of what I’m learning along the way,” he writes, “including inside stories from researchers, political leaders, environmental advocates and so on.”

You can read Chris’s first PSI blog today and we encourage you to sign up for email alerts so you won’t miss any of his reports. Subscribers will also receive alerts about Chris’s long-form magazine articles and other news from PSI and the Encyclopedia of Puget Sound.
